Coffs Harbour Butterfly House

On my recent holiday with my sister we visited the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House. There were so many butterflies and we were lucky enough to have a couple land on us (much to Andy's horror...LOL). They have their own breeding and hatching program to keep the butterfly house stocked and there are usually about ten to fifteen species living there. A great experience! Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

She sure is popular with the butterfly's, much to her horror....LOL

Ilove bird wing butterflies.
At Melbourne Zoo they have a butterfly house and whilst the humidity in there is somethng else it is worth it for the butterfly experience.

Dear Sharon,
I'd love to see all those different butterflies! I've been intrigued to learn that at a friend's funeral in California thousands of Monarch butterflies were released at the end of the ceremony. Obviously they are raised commercially for this sort of occasion.
Do hope your health is recovering.
Love
Dawn (and Dad who's just come in for lunch!)
